Jonathan Sells works from his studio in Corfe Castle, Dorset, where he is happy to undertake commissions for a wide range of hand carved stonework from large pieces on public display to smaller private works for individuals. These include water features, house names, company logos, garden furniture, memorial headstones, and smaller unique gifts for birthdays, weddings and other celebrations. He also undertakes letter cutting and restoration work.

Stone carving lessons in Dorset & beyond
If you are interested to try stone carving, Jonathan is an enthusiastic and inspiring tutor. He has taught stone carving and sculpture for over 30 years in schools and other venues as well as undertaking private tuition and running workshops for groups of all ages and abilities that can be tailored to different needs.
He will happily take you through a journey of discovery that will surprise you. Once you have had a few lessons you can ask Jonathan to help you create whatever you are interested in carving and he will guide you through it. Many people who do his courses carry on stone carving, it’s rather addictive!
If you don’t live locally Jonathan can travel to teach at premises chosen by you.
